an awakening:  overlapping solos reveal both gradual and sudden
shifts in the interior archetypal landscape of four diverse women. 
Specific objects are used that relate to the inner life of each 
performer, including  a paper umbrella, a flashlight, a fisherman’s 
net, and a red wooden airplane.  Through subtle manipulations of 
time, projected landscape imagery by Kevin Doyle appears and 
dissolves, creating a complex layering.

touch and the reaction of the nervous system to touch is explored 
through sensuality, violence, indifference and curiosity.  Divided
into three sections that layer and accumulate through density of
material, performers, light and sound, each section is broken up by
a dimly lit interlude.  Set to a diverse soundscore by William 
Catanzaro and Maré Hieronimus that includes a vietnamese harp, 
the noise of a record skipping, and clanking change, the desire for, 
and the rejection of physical communion becomes a gateway into 
the investigation of individual and group dynamics.

in a southernly tinted landscape, two women map out the 
inner boundaries of their interdependent relationship.  Swinging 
between extremes of slow motion and speed, small gesture and full 
body action, confinement of space and sweeping spacial pathway, 
they engage in an ongoing cycle.
